We Need YOUR Help

Men's Haven operates a peer-delivered support model that removes every barrier between a man and help - no appointment, no diagnosis, no cost, no judgement. Men supporting men on the front line, not in a clinical setting. 

We do NOT provide professional mental health treatment, therapy, or clinical services here, but we can connect men with professional resources only upon their request. 

That being said, the only way that a peer-support method works is if men show up. This could mean coming to activities, making yourself available as a resource on something you're experienced in, or jumping in to help when someone needs a hand up. 

Basically - in a nutshell, we're looking for men to come hang out. It's as simple as that. 

We're also trying to plan some activities for men that can be held inside the walls of the Lock Haven Masonic Lodge, as they have graciously volunteered the space for our use.

You'll see on our Activities page that we have lots of great ideas, but we need people to help us get them going! If you've got a particular skill, knowledge, or experience that could help other men, we'd love to hear from you. 

We are hunting for people who know:

- how to tie flies for fly fishing, and how to fly fish in general

- men who can talk "cars"

- men who have a favorite recipe or technique to share

- men with hunting wisdom to share with new hunters

- men who have struggled with addiction and recovered who are willing to share

- men who might be willing to mentor a younger man without a father figure

- men who like to watch sports events on a big tv with snacks

- men who like to play card games, from bridge and rummy to Magic the Gathering

- and so much more. 

If you would be willing to hang out with a bunch of guys and share your knowledge, we'd LOVE to hear from you. And if you can bring some mates along, that would be even better!
